Who Held The CAFT Trophy High?

The CAFT Quiz Night 2023

We kicked off our 2023 fundraising calendar of events with a night of quizzing! On Thursday 23rd March, over 80 people joined us at Bowdon RUFC Marquee Room, playing in teams of 5 to 7.

We had a great night that raised a wonderful amount of £3,164!

The Questions

Quiz host Peter Scotson from Happy Radio took us through the following 7 rounds of 10 questions alongside a Marathon round to complete throughout the evening.

  1. General Knowledge
  2. How Observant Are You
  3. Colours in Sport
  4. News & Events
  5. Geography
  6. Up, Up, Up & Away (Aeroplane Tail Markings)
  7. Children’s Television

The News questions were asked by BBC newsreader Roger Johnson and Children’s Television by actor John Thompson in pre-recorded videos.

Teams could also double their points in one round only by using their Joker card – with some bagging 20 points in a round, whilst others not picking their round so wisely!
