Spooky Book Day 2019

4th November 2019

Armed with books and pencils, Curtis led 100 children in an interactive session which included an illustration workshop, book reading, Q&A, plus a signed and dedicated book for each child. Curtis, is the wonderful man behind Bob the Builder and Raa Raa the Noisy Lion; the characters much loved and recognised by the children visiting the Farm.

The ghoulishy good day also included some frightfully fun themed food and an afternoon of fangtastic activites including: a gross bushtucker trial, a skeleton scavenger hunt, mummy wrapping and ghost ten-pin bowling.

Spooky Book Day has now become an annual event because of the positive reaction from the children during previous years. This year’s Spooky Book Day has given deserving local children an opportunity to enjoy the creative arts in a way they would not have experienced before. Our aim with the Curtis Jobling session is to inspire a love of literature and illustration which will spark the imaginations of the children and enrich their lives. Coupled with Halloween tricks and treats, we wanted all the children to have a super spooky and frightfully fun day, which they sure did.
