RSM UK Raise over £11,000 for CAFT in Charity Partnership!

In 2023, RSM UK Manchester Office chose CAFT as their Charity of the Year! We were so grateful for being their chosen charity and we thoroughly enjoyed working with the teams throughout this fantastic partnership.

As part of their fundraising, they joined one of the CAFT challenges. In October, RSM took on an endurance challenge, walking 23 miles from Hale Lighthouse on the river Mersey to CAFT in Millington!

Along with raising funds, they got stuck in with all hands on deck at CAFT! Staff members volunteered at CAFT on some maintenance jobs, helping us to keep our beautiful 10 acre site in tip top condition for the children who visit to make wonderful memories! We also had the team join us at our seasonal activity programmes including Halloween to man activity stations, serve refreshments and much more – helping to make each and every child’s experience one they’d cherish forever. They also supported us with our own fundraising events, packing goody bags for the guests to enjoy at our Ladies Lunch!

In addition to joining our collection appeals of Easter eggs, selection boxes and Christmas toys, RSM handed over a cheque of £11,805.50 to CAFT at the end of the year!

Thank you to their hard work, this amount allows us to provide day visits to close to 1,000 children or a 3-day residential holiday to 34 children!

Facilities Supervisor Gill Gore, gave some feedback:

“After being introduced to CAFT via a colleague who had a personal connection, we quickly realised what a wonderful place it was.  We knew we could make a difference and so we set ourselves the challenge to raise just over £8k within an 8-month period via various fundraising events held both inside and outside of our office.  In addition to the fundraising, we provided resource in the way of RSM staff to help with events and general maintenance. Each and every person who got involved thoroughly enjoyed their time at the farm and were able to experience first-hand, the hard work that goes into every aspect of the day-to-day operations and the amazing events held.  We were thrilled to hand over a cheque at the end of the year for just over £11,800!
