Puddle Ducks makes a big splash for CAFT!

26th November 2019

Puddle Duck provides award winning swimming classes for children from birth to 10 years old and every year they host the charity PJ week. During this week the little ones and their parents leave their swimming trunks and costumes at home and to raise money for charity, they take the plunge in their favourite pyjamas.

The events is lots of fun for everyone involved and it also teaches the children vital swimming techniques, like what it would feel like if they ever found themselves in water fully clothed. For many children it is also their first introduction to charity fundraising; a great teaching on community spirit.

Rachel Bateson, franchise manager of Puddle Ducks Mid Cheshire, commented: “PJ week is great fun and we are so glad that we have been able to support CAFT. It is a great charity which was chosen by our little swimmers.”

CAFT was chosen to be Puddle Ducks beneficiary following a nomination from Anna Mosely, whose daughter Millie swims with them. Anna was delighted that CAFT was chosen as she knows the vital work we do here as her Aunt Helen is our Trust Fundraiser! And if you ever come across any events or fundraising campaigns of which CAFT could be a beneficiary, please do not hesitate to put us forward. For every pound donated, a smile is created here at CAFT.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who was involved in organising and participating in this fantastic fundraising event. From all Puddle Ducks staff to the children and families who splashed about in their sleepwear – THANK YOU!
