In March we had a lovely visit from Phab Club who brought a group of families made up 74 people (40 children) from across Lancashire. All of the families who attended have at least one disabled child.
Rebecca Hargreaves, National Projects & Development Manager summed up their experience at CAFT:
“Thank you so much for hosting our Phab Adventure Farm Day. We had an amazing day and it was wonderful to spend time in the outdoors, meeting the animals, being creative and having a huge amount of fun. The laughter and smiles didn’t stop all day.
The families have all expressed how much they enjoyed it and whilst the children were running around having fun and making friends, the parents were able to relax in the knowledge that they were in a safe space, free from inaccessibility and judgement.
CAFT embraces the same values as Phab of inclusion and wellbeing, along with a genuine sense of kindness and respect and it was wonderful to work with you and enable us to offer such a Phabulous experience!

“When you have a disabled child, being able to do things that the whole family can join in with together is very special and so important. It was great to feel so welcomed and involved. It gave us a great sense of belonging – thank you.”
“We had a lovely time, with families who are in the same position as us. Lucy enjoyed the whole day and it was very relaxed. We had lunch in the hobbit house, Lucy chose this right at the start, then we joined other families for the rest of the entertainment. Thank you for everything.”
“It was so lovely to see the kids running around and being free to explore – it gave us parents a chance to unwind too, knowing that the children were enjoying themselves in a safe place.”
“Thank you so much for a fantastic day. It was so nice to see familiar faces and meet new people too. These days really do make such a difference.”
