CAFT is very lucky to have an army of volunteers who help us throughout the year, we wouldn’t be able to continue the fantastic work we do here without them!
There are many opportunities to help and support CAFT, please see below the numerous ways you can make a difference.
The main areas where we need help and support are at our events. We hold events throughout the year in order to raise money to keep The Children’s Adventure Farm running and providing holidays to the special children that we bring here. The funds raised at our events make up a massive proportion of the funds that are needed to keep us going, so a few hours of your time means more holidays for children in desperate need.
Why not organise a Quiz Night, Garden Party, Dinner Dance or even a Ceilidh with your friends and family, asking them to purchase a ticket or run a raffle and auction with all the funds raised to help more children from the North West come to CAFT for a holiday of a lifetime.
Getting sponsored to run, bike or hike will not only give you a goal to achieve but your blood, sweat and tears will be raising funds for the children that visit us. From Marathons to Skydiving and Bungee Jumps! You could join one of CAFT’s scheduled events or find one and just name CAFT as your beneficiary. Check out our challenges page.
We need volunteers to help at our annual Open Day, helping on various stands and stalls including…serving tea and cakes, cooking burgers, running the tombola, lucky dip and bouncy castle. We also require volunteers to help us manage the parking as we normally have hundreds of people descend on us, these parking marshals will be stationed around our 10 acre site and a neighbouring field. Our Open Day runs from 1pm till 4pm and any help that can be given between 12 noon and 5pm would be appreciated (all volunteers will be provided with lunch and refreshments).
Is driving your thing? For example could you help us by driving our budding cyclists to their starting point for their Coast to Coast Cycle Ride?
– On behalf of each and every child, thank you so much.
