As an employee
Payroll Giving is a way of donating through your gross salary before income tax is deducted meaning that it costs you less to give more to CAFT. For every £1.00 that you donate to us, it actually only costs you 80p and if you are a higher rate tax payer, it will only cost you 60p.
As an employer
Payroll Giving provides your staff with a convenient, fuss-free way to give. Set-up is easy and the scheme allows you to see the amount donated by the staff in your company. Group giving increases staff morale and demonstrates your commitment to supporting charitable causes.
And…
For us…
Payroll Giving gives CAFT a regular flow of funds which allows us to plan for the future.
Setting up Payroll Giving
In order to donate through Payroll Giving, employees need to be registered with a Payroll Giving Agency (PGA). This is a simple and free process, the commencing administration fees are minimal and tax deductible. More information on Payroll Giving and details of approved Payroll Giving Agencies, visit the HMRC website.
