We think of ourselves as one big family here at CAFT. Our actual family really IS big and includes all sorts of lovely people; from groups and children that visit us and event attendees, to challengers, local and national businesses, our wonderful volunteers and our amazing Ambassadors, Trustees and President!
Let’s introduce just some of the staff based at the farm:
Fun Fact: I share my name with CAFT President, Sir Bobby Charlton!
The best piece of advice I ever received was “Never take yourself too seriously!”
A fun fact about me is that I was created by CAFT Patron, Curtis Jobling, illustrator extraordinaire.
My go to karaoke song is Twist and Shout by The Beatles!
Fun fact about me: I once presented an hour long episode of the kids show Ipso Facto in the early nineties
Fun fact about me: I was once adopted by aborigines and renamed Gbarunga, which means waterbird.
A donation to our charity goes a very, very long way and makes such a huge difference. This was summed up perfectly by Alison Ashley from Hebden Green Special School who brought a group of children for a holiday.
DONATE“The Adventure Farm is a magical place. From the moment you arrive, children and staff are treated as honoured guests, dear friends and VIPs! The benefits for the children last way beyond the weeks holiday. Memories and bonds are formed, where even five years later the children reflect on holidays, discussing activities and bringing photographs to our attention. They ALWAYS talk about the Adventure Farm during their graduation, citing it as a highlight of their time in the Primary Department.”
