Explore the Farm

10 acres of amazing facilities suitable for children of all ages and abilities. The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust is a haven providing a wealth of activities designed to entertain and challenge children in a supportive environment.

Our Facilities

Booth Bank Farm is our Grade II listed, 17th century farmhouse. This is where the children enjoy meals together and cosy up after a long day of playing. The farmhouse has three floors with 18 beds split between 5 bedrooms on the first and second floors. Due to the building’s heritage, there is no lift. Our farmhouse is the hub of the charity; cosy, quaint and quirky.

Courtyard Apartments:

Across the courtyard are our apartments. Comfortable and cosy and completely accessible. The apartments have four fully adjustable beds with safety sides and bathrooms fully equipped for safe use.

The BBQ Area:

Tucked away behind the farmhouse is our brilliant BBQ Area. A sociable place for cooking, eating and relaxing with friends on lovely summer evenings.

The Adventure Playground:

Big, inclusive and a whole heap of fun. With slides and swings and specially adapted equipment for children with limited mobility.

The Sports Hall:

The huge hall is split over two levels. On the ground floor we have toys, a trampoline and an enormous inflatable slide. On the second floor is the games room and the music room.

The Games Room:

A bright and airy space perfect for playing games and relaxing with friends.

The Music Room:

The place for mini rockstars in the making. We have all they need to belt out the hits, plus sound sensitive lighting to emphasise the sensory experience.

The Art Room:

Our messy place and that’s why the kids love it. From sensory art sessions with slime, foam and sand to playdough, finger-painting and t-shirt decorating. Arts and Crafts are therapeutic and fun activities in which anyone can participate…and the messier it is, the
better it is.

Multi - Sensory Room:

Stepping into our Sensory Suite is a magical moment for the children. The wide array of play equipment is specially designed to offer different sensory experiences.

Soft-play area:

A safe area for children to play, with no sharp edges. Padding on the walls ensures the safety of children with hyperactivity disorders. The addition of various soft toys, coloured lights and projections provide imaginative and sensory stimulation.

UV area:

UV lighting is a visually stimulating experience. We encourage groups to add to their experience by using body paints that glow in the dark.

Sensory therapy room:

This little room is perfect for one to one therapy. The heated water bed, light tunnel, bubble tube and fibre optic lights engage children with sensory impairments, autism and severe physical and learning disabilities.

The Galleon:

Hidden amongst the trees is our 60ft pirate galleon. Pirates, hidden treasure and swash buckling aplenty.

The Sensory Garden:

A place to experience the true delights of nature and uncover a few surprises… plants that smell like chocolate and some that smell like cola. What a place to stimulate the senses. Nestled in the corner is the Story Telling chair. The garden is also home to a few of our feathered friends; ducks, ducks and a goose!

The Aviary:

A little walk through the our woods will lead you to the Aviary. Home to five different species of birds; budgies, finches, cockatiels, 3 golden pheasants and Charlie,
the Dove.

The Alpacas and Goats:

The furriest of our farm friends has to be our three cheeky alpacas; Merlin, Bungle and Freddie. The
three brothers live in the Gopaca Shed with our little herd of equally cheeky goats.

Our Dinky Donkeys:

Pollyanna & Candy. Our Meadow View Miniature Donkeys reside in their Dinky Donkey House, from
there they watch the comings and goings of the children who often stop by for a quick cuddle.

The Sheep:

The small flock are wonderfully woolly friends to the children. Sunflower is so friendly that he enjoys nothing more than going out for a walk with the children around the farm.
